LGBTQIA+ Therapy Consultation

£160.00

LGBTQIA+ encompasses lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual identities — and the spectrum of experiences around sexuality, gender identity, and relationships that sit outside conventional norms. For many, navigating identity, coming out, relationships, and belonging happens quietly, often without the affirming space to explore it.

This therapy creates that space. Whether you're questioning your identity, processing a coming out, navigating relationships, or carrying the weight of not fitting the expected story — you can be fully yourself here. We work with the specific pressures that come with being LGBTQIA+ in a world that doesn't always make room for you: minority stress, family dynamics, authenticity, connection. Therapy isn't about changing who you are. It's about building a life where you don't have to hide.

LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy in Horsham and online across the UK.

A space where you don't have to explain yourself before you can talk about what's actually going on. Eunoia Health offers LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy for adults — online across the UK and in person in Horsham, West Sussex.

A non-judgemental, affirmative space.

LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy does not treat sexual orientation or gender identity as a problem to be resolved. It treats the person in front of it — with whatever they are carrying — and takes seriously the specific stressors that come with navigating a world that has not always been safe or accepting.

You do not need to come with a specific presenting issue. Many people simply want a therapist who already understands the context of their life.

What we work with.

We work with anxiety and depression in LGBTQ+ adults, where minority stress — the chronic psychological burden of navigating a society that marginalises — is often a significant contributing factor. We work with identity exploration, coming out (at any age, in any direction), family estrangement and rejection, and the particular grief that can accompany experiences of homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia.

We also work with relationship difficulties, internalised shame, and the cumulative cost of masking or code-switching across different areas of life. And sometimes the presenting issue has nothing to do with identity at all — and that is equally valid.

Our approach.

The clinical approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy — ACT — a NICE-recognised therapy that develops psychological flexibility. ACT works well in the context of minority stress because it doesn't ask you to think differently about the world. It works on your relationship to difficult thoughts and feelings so they no longer dictate your choices.

Therapy at Eunoia is delivered by Albie Mew-Davies, a BACP-registered therapist. BACP's ethical framework explicitly requires affirmative practice with LGBTQ+ clients. Eunoia Health is committed to that standard.

Why Eunoia.

Albie Mew-Davies is a BACP-registered therapist (MBACP 415049) specialising in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He practises clinically at the Priory Group in inpatient mental health and guest-lectures on ACT at Canterbury Christ Church University. He is not a platform. He is not a matching algorithm. When you book with Eunoia, you work with Albie specifically — the same person from the first session to the last.

What to expect.

Start with a free fifteen-minute call. This is an informal conversation — not a clinical assessment, and not a place where you need to justify why you're seeking support. Albie will want to understand what's going on for you and whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll say so and suggest somewhere better.

No GP referral needed. Online across the UK and in person at Horsham Therapy Rooms, West Sussex (RH12).
