It's hard to feel settled in a world that keeps telling you, in small ways, that you don't quite fit.

It might be the colleague who still mispronounces your name after three years. A move abroad, or back home, that left you caught between two places. Being the only one in the room who processes things the way you do. Or a lingering sense, from school or from work, that everyone else was given the rules and you weren't.

Context matters

Not everything you're carrying started with you. Discrimination, exclusion and bullying are real, and therapy isn't about teaching you to put up with them. It's about understanding how they've affected you, finding your footing again, and choosing how you want to respond, on your own terms.

How we work with it

ACT pays close attention to context, which makes it well suited to this kind of work. We treat your culture, background and identity as part of who you are, not as a footnote. For neurodivergent clients, we're happy to adapt how sessions run, including pace, structure and how we communicate between them.

Because we work online, you can see us from anywhere in the UK. British clients living abroad can too.

Start with a conversation

Fifteen minutes. One honest conversation. A free chat with one of our BACP-registered clinical therapists, to talk through what's going on and whether we're the right fit. You don't need to prepare anything, and there's no obligation afterwards

Areas we support

Choose the one that sounds closest. Most people's experience crosses more than one, and that's fine.
